Encerrando o mês de  Outubro  com a quarta publicação sobre o Artista,  quando ainda na  Dire Straits,

suas composições e também sobre seu projeto projeto beneficente na Country Music, criando uma

banda, a The Notting Hillbillies,  formada por ele, Brendan Croker, Steve Phillips e Guy Fletcher.

Gravaram o álbum  "Missing...Presumed Having a Good Time",  que foi lançado no ano de

1990. Ilustrando a publicação, escolhi o single oficial do álbum,  "Your Own Sweet Way".

A terceira publicação do mês sobre Mark, nos traz o primeiro 'single' do seu álbum de estreia

'Golden Heart',  lançado no ano de 1996.  Em minha interpretação sobre o tema da canção,

tratando-se de uma solitária angústia um pedido de socorro a mulher na multidão que

o cativou, que seria a cura para seu coração e sua alma. Mas como em todas as 

canções, depende do 'estado de espírito' para muitas, muitas interpretações.

O  vídeo oficial  que ilustra a postagem,  nos conduz a  muitos caminhos...

 Na segunda postagem sobre Mark, sua composição Telegraph Road é sem dúvida um clássico quando

ainda membro da banda Dire Straits. Em sua carreira solo faz parte de seus shows, provando sua

atemporalidade, pois faz parte do compromisso dele com a  Música:  tema e não momento.

Parte do álbum da banda Dire, Love Over Gold, 1982, conta como nasceu uma cidade

no ermo de uma velha estrada,  cidade que nasceu, cresceu, degradou-se e por

fim foi abandonada. Autor de belas narrativas em suas letras, Mark tem na

Literatura sua fonte de inspiração, citando como exemplo, a letra de

Telegraph Road, baseada no livro do escritor norueguês Knut

Hamsun, A Benção da Terra, que no ano 1920 recebeu 

o  Nobel de Literatura.  A Arte  inspirada na  Arte.

 O mês de Outubro de 2022 em nosso Blog, nos brinda com quatro apresentações de Mark que como é

esperado, resulta em ótimos momentos sobre os temas explorados.  A primeira escolhida, quando

Mark ainda integrava a Dire Straits, "Once Upon a Time in The West", Música autoral e faixa de

abertura do segundo álbum da banda lançado no ano de  1979,  "Communiqué". Vamos lá.

 Depois de sair da banda Dire Starits, no ano de 1968 Mark Knopfler lançou seu primeiro álbum solo,

"Golden Heart",  composição autoral que até os atuais dias é um grande sucesso de sua carreira

solo. A Música que ilustra esta publicação é uma das muitas e muitas por mim preferidas, sim,

muitas e muitas, pois seu estilo e suas composições são de muito bom gosto ao retratar os

temas abordados.  Na imagem acima, três 'feras' nos brindam com um verdadeiro Show,

isso sem mencionar  todos os componentes  de sua  tradicional banda  e convidados,

ao participar do concerto  ao vivo,  "A Night in London",  na BBC em Abril de 1996.

Música no Mundo - Especial: Mark Knopfler

Excepcional guitarrista, compositor, cantor e produtor musical britânico, nasceu no mês de Agosto de

1949 em Glasgow, no Reino Unido. Ficou conhecido como principal guitarrista da banda Dire Straits,

formada em 1977 com seu irmão David Knopfler, até deixar a banda em 1987, optando por seguir a

carreira solo.  No início de 1991, a banda se reuniu novamente mas em 1995, a separação foi em

definitivo e Mark reiniciou sua carreira solo,  produzindo vários álbuns e trilhas sonoras para

filmes e seu álbum solo de estreia, "Golden Heart",  ficou em vigésimo sétimo lugar na lista

dos "100 Maiores Guitarristas de Todos os Tempos da revista Rolling Stone". Desde seu

ingresso na Música no ano de 1965,  seus muitos estilos são: o blues rock, rock de raiz,

rock celta, country rock e suas variantes,  sempre sucesso em sua voz,  sua guitarra,

solo ou com  Artistas  de renome, tais como  Bob Dylan,  BBB King  e  Eric Clapton.

Escolhi para ilustrar essa publicação,  o clássico Brothers in Arms, composição de

Mark Knopfler  lançada no ano de 1985,  quando ainda membro da banda  Dire Straits.

renomado produtor musical. Nascido em Agosto de 1949 na cidade de Glasgow, cidade portuária

no rio Clyde,  nas Terras Baixas ocidentais da Escócia,  conhecido como  principal guitarrista

da banda Dire Straits, que seguiu carreira solo e independente, depois de deixar a banda

em 1987. Em sua carreira fez mais de quatrocentos concertos, grandes sucessos em

mais de trinta Países, sendo considerado um dos melhores guitarristas e também

compositores de todas as épocas. E quanto ao seu singular toque nas cordas,

apesar de canhoto toca como destro de um modo único e inovador: com a

destreza de um Mestre: usa o polegar, o indicador, o dedo médio, sem

usar palheta.  É considerado o  44º  melhor guitarrista  de todos os

tempos pela respeitada revista norte-americana  Rolling Stone.
